PEZ Apologizes For Web Site Delay Posted by Paul on May 18,2006: PEZ.com has a letter on their website apologizing for the delay in bringing up their new site. Although they don't explain the actual cause of the delay, they do take this opportunity to talk about what kinds of changes are in store for the site.

Orange County Chopper PEZ Posted by Paul on May 17,2006: These pictures show a PEZ-themed motorcycle that is being constructed by Orange County Choppers. When complete, it will be displayed at the PEZ factory. Rumor has it that PEZ will be releasing a new set of dispensers featuring the guys from OCC.

Dokodemo Issyo, Part 2 Minis Posted by Paul on May 12,2006: Here is a picture of the Dokodemo Issyo, Part2 mini PEZ that are just being released. Doko Demo Issyo means "together everywhere" or "always with you" in Japanese. The characters are from a series of Sony Playstation video games, including a virtual pet game.

Collegiate Football Teams Posted by Paul on May 9,2006: PEZ will be shipping college football dispensers in June. Each dispenser will feature a different college football team, including Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Pennsylvania, and two from Florida: University of Florida and Florida State. The dispensers will be on special cards and will be sold in college stores and other nearby retail locations.

New Site Showcases PEZ Paper Posted by Paul on May 4,2006: A PEZ collector known as "mruglyismymother" has a launced a web page for "PEZ Paper". This page has pictures of many types of PEZ printed materials. It's an interesting example of the types of items that people collect in addition to the dispensers.

PEZ Store Not Updated In April Posted by Paul on May 3,2006: PEZ advertised that its store would be updated in April. The site says "Look for the NEW PEZ.COM by April of 2006". We looked...but we did not find any changes in April. Here's hoping they are just a day or two delayed, and that we'll see the exciting new site soon!

Right now the site says "Look for the new PEZ.COM by April of 2006". There's only a few days left in April, and we're all waiting anxiously for the new site to appear. The excitement is building ...

PEZHeads - The Movie On MySpace Posted by Paul on April 27,2006: The film about PEZ collectors now has a page on MySpace. From the page:
"The Movie is a documentary currently in production about PEZ and PEZ Collectors. The documentary will explore the phenomenon of PEZ collecting through interviews with a variety of collectors and vendors, as well as visits to conventions, flea markets, and anywhere else we can find PEZ."

Interview With Joe Vittoria Posted by Paul on April 7,2006: Candy Industry magazine published this interview with PEZident Joe Vittoria. The article is more than a year old, but still very interesting reading about the company, its history, and its strategy.
Snippet from the article:
"Candy always excites the kid in all of us," Vittoria asserts. “"EZ definitely excites the kid in us because it’s also a wonderful toy, thanks to its interactive nature. The question for many has been, is PEZ a toy or a candy? Well, we’re definitely both."
