Hello Kitty PEZ Are Announced

The European PEZ site has announced that it has licensed Hello Kitty from Sanrio to produce a line of Hello Kitty PEZ dispensers. The four dispensers will include Hello Kitty (a cat), Cathy (a bunny), Melody (a cat), and Kuririn (a hamster).
The dispensers will apparently be released in Asia. According to the press release, "The Hello Kitty dispenser edition has been designed especially for the home territory of the cult cat and will, without doubt, be a hit among all the PEZ enthusiasts in Asia, regardless of age."

Hello Kitty and Friends enchant the Far East
At the beginning of the 1970s a cartoon character that was completely different from any other took Asia by storm: Hello Kitty, the cute little cat with the chubby cheeks. The laconic way the short stories are told and the cuddly nature of the endearing figures have cast a spell over the young girls in Japan in particular. However, Hello Kitty is not only loved by children; teenage girls and young ladies in their twenties like buying accessories featuring the star characters from Sanrio.

With the license from Sanrio, PEZ has landed a real winner. The Hello Kitty dispenser edition has been designed especially for the home territory of the cult cat and will, without doubt, be a hit among all the PEZ enthusiasts in Asia, regardless of age. The collection consists of: Hello Kitty, the cute young lady cat. Hello Kitty with her friend Cathy, a quiet, gentle little girl bunny. My Melody, the curious cat with the red bonnet and a weakness for home-baked cakes. And finally, Kuririn, hamster and explorer. All together, a cult for girls who are young at heart.
PEZ not only supplies the exact replica Hello Kitty dispensers, it has put just as much effort into creating the appropriate POS materials. There is no way the girls in Asia will be able to walk past the skin and blister cards without taking Hello Kitty with them.
