PEZ MP3 Player Posted by Paul on March 20,2006: Last year, PEZ granted Pat Misterovich a license to manufacture an MP3 player built into the body of a PEZ dispenser. That player is now shipping. This first edition dispenser is a PEZ Pal Boy dispenser. It features 512 megabytes of memory, USB 2.0, plays files in MP3 and WMA formats, and runs on a single AAA battery. The cost is $99.99.
The first edition has been manufactured as a limited run of 1500. The packaging and player both are marked as "1st Edition". The manufacturer expects to offer other characters in the future and says "This limited edition character is the first of what I hope is many, many different styles of PEZ MP3 players in the coming months." The future editions probably depend on the success (and sales) of the current one.
