PEZ Playing Cards Posted by Paul on October 10,2003:
There are so many items licensed by PEZ these days, it's hard to keep up with them all. So when a reader (Mark) wrote in to ask about PEZ Playing Cards, I did a little research to find out about them.
Initially, I confused the new set of playing cards with the PEZ card game, invented by Mike Fitzgerald and manufactured by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.. But these new playing cards are different--a normal set of 52 playing cards. They are being distributed by the American Distribution Company, which distributes a number of items containing the PEZ logo. Here's a link to a picture all of their PEZ items. The playing cards are in the upper right.
The cards come in a sets of four poker-size decks. Each deck comes in a cardboard box with a picture of the card back. The four card back designs are each a different PEZ character engaged in an activity (surfing, skateboarding, using a computer).
If you're planning to get a set, you shouldn't pay more than a couple of dollars per deck.
